A Timeless Timepiece
Once viewed as simply bracelets with a clock on them, the wristwatch gradually proved to be a prominent part of British fashion trends after the first World War. The Navy Seal Foundation (XS.3517.NSF.SET) is classified as a diving watch. Though many watches are tremendously resilient to water, specific clearly cut criteria must be met for a model to receive the stamp “diver”. Included in these these are being able to tolerate at least 100m depth, being readable below water, having a rotating bezel for timing, and being equipped with a solid strap. Higher-end models may offer a surfacing release valve.
Will Water Ruin It?
Water-resistant watches are ideal for anyone who wants a timepiece that can withstand the rigours of daily life. Whether you’re caught in a sudden rainstorm or accidentally spill a drink on your wrist, a water-resistant watch will continue to function reliably and look great, no matter what. The 20 ATM water resistance of the Navy Seal Foundation (XS.3517.NSF.SET) enables you to swim, snorkel and platform dive. Low key aquadiving at shallower depths is also permitted.
